Butterdrop Popcorn Company began in Bryon J. Widmyer's garage...actually,
his parent's garage...more than 18 years ago. He found a lovely, old popcorn
popper in a Northern Michigan movie theater, brought it home, and with some
minor adjustments and ingenuity, created his first popcorn assembly line.
Bryon first catered to convenience stores where his fresh! wonderful popcorn
became very much in demand. He soon outgrew his parent's garage, and
expanded his product line to restaurants, bowling centers and cocktail
lounges. He added fresh! caramel corn and a custom fresh! cheese corn. Bryon
began roasting cashews, pistachios... you know the large, succulent ones! as
well as mixed nuts and redskins.
For years Butterdrop has catered to the exclusive tastes of Fortune 500
companies gourmets, and now, with our Internet presence, we offer these
delectable treats to everyone!
