Enterprise Auto Rental
 It all started in the lower level of a car dealership. My father,
Enterprise founder Jack Taylor, looked around his small office one day and
saw a handful of co-workers fielding phone calls, calculating rates and
washing cars. But he saw something else, too: people doing ordinary,
everyday things with extraordinary passion and focus, going well beyond
their own jobs to get the whole job done right.
Those people believed in Jack’s vision and made it their own, and that day
was the start of something big. All of our phenomenal growth and success
over the ensuing decades is based on Jack’s simple philosophy: “Take care of
your customers and employees first…and profits will follow.”
This philosophy and our unique business model have made Enterprise the
largest rental car company in North America - but our goal has never been to
be the biggest car rental company, just the best.
No matter how large or successful we become, our success will always depend
on the individual managers and employees with the will and drive to be the
best. Their stories define who we are, and each begins with the vision of
one man and the unique team of entrepreneurs who wrote the first chapter.
