Jewels By Michele
Michele is an Annapolis, MD area born artist currently living in Austin, TX.
When she's not busy with her business, she enjoys backpacking, painting and
taking care of her family. She loves the city of Austin, and all of the
outdoor and art opportunities it has to offer.
Michele began making barefoot sandals, or "Jewels" as she calls them, after
returning from her wedding in Hawaii. She had a simple ceremony with a
handful of friends and family, and as part of her casual wedding-day
ensemble had purchased a pair of barefoot sandals. Although she loved the
look of the sandals, she thought the options for classy but affordable
sandals were limited.
After returning from Hawaii she started making prototypes and listing them
on various websites. Within a few weeks she created her own website and
began advertising her new business of selling Jewels.
